OUZO BAZOOKA CLOUDS OF SORROW

Drawing influence from "everything that is beautiful in Tel Aviv; Cultural coexistence, vigorous creation and an always happening urban scene", Ouzo Bazooka's unique brand of shamanic psychedelia seems almost dependent on their culturally-diverse home town. Their new single 'Clouds of Sorrow' is another triumphant slice of Middle Eastern-inspired psych, which tip-toes on the edge of garage rock in its fuzzier moments. Legends of the scene Goat and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard spring to mind as suitable comparisons but there's something distinctively different about Ouzo Bazooka as they push the boundaries of their genre. It's been over a year since their sophomore album SIMOOM was released and we're hoping that 'Clouds of Sorrow' is a sign of album number three arriving in the not-to-distant future. -HLMX
